YouTube - Trying the Impossible Burger

If you’re subscribed to my YouTube channel, you might have seen this video with my “Vegan Girl Gang”, aka three of my best girlfriends who just so happen to be vegan and YouTubers! Meeting them has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. When I first transitioned to a vegan lifestyle, I expected a ton of support from my friends and family and received quite the opposite from most people (more on that another time). These girls are some of the most supportive, hardworking, talented women I’ve ever met and we just “get” each other. (Seriously though — we will have laughing fits without even having to finish our sentences).

Right when I adopted a plant-based diet, I read an article about the “Impossible Burger”, a burger that is supposed to bleed like real meat, but is made 100% from plants. A lot of people don’t understand why a vegan would want to eat a burger that tastes like meat, but a lot of foods (like burgers) are extremely nostalgic as most vegans grew up eating a traditional Western diet. We still want to have that nostalgic feeling and taste, we just don’t want to sacrifice our health, animals lives or the environment to do so.

That being said, the makers behind the “Impossible Burger” didn’t create it for vegans, they actually created it for meat eaters! It was intended for those who say “I would go vegan, but I love meat too much” to have an option that they would love just as much as meat. If it tastes as good as meat, but is better for you, there’s really no argument!

A restaurant in West Hollywood came out with a burger using the Impossible patties, so my girlfriends and I had to try it out. I hope you’ll enjoy this little vlog and taste test, and it would mean a lot if you subscribed to my channel as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have you had the Beyond Burger yet?! It’s absolutely mind blowing how similar to meat it tastes (although I haven’t had a “real” burger in years, I’d swear it even tastes better than real meat…).
