This romper is so bright and colorful, it’s screaming for a tropical vacation. We are so fortunate to live just minutes from the beach, though we don’t get to enjoy it as often as we would like to. That definitely needs to change this summer.
This outfit was shot in Laguna Beach, and if you ever get the chance to visit Orange County, you must visit Laguna for a beach day! I went to high school in a neighboring city and my girlfriends and I were known to play hooky for a beach day in Laguna here and there. Laguna is one of the few towns that has hardly changed in the many years I’ve lived in Orange County — which is for the best.
These photos are on the Main Beach, which is close to all of the shops and restaurants and makes for a perfect day spent partially lounging on the sand and partially walking around the downtown area. If you want something off the main path, I love Victoria Beach and Table Rock Beach (also gorgeous for photos).
For my vegan foodies, The Stand and Urth Caffe are amazing lunch spots. If you are more active and love a good hike, Crystal Cove State Park has various trails depending on how long or hard you prefer your hike to be. There are some insane views on these trails. I am not a big hiking person (I’ll confess – I hate anything high-cardio and I’m not the most outdoorsy), but there is a beginner trail here that is really short and gives you some gorgeous views of the ocean — a must if you’re visiting from out of town! Another great spot for the very active is 1,000 Steps Beach. I have a few friends who love to run up and down these stairs for a workout.
Laguna is also known for being a huge art community. There are art galleries everywhere you turn and while I haven’t been to the art museum or seen any plays here, it’s definitely on my to-do list.
