Oversized Denim Jacket

Occasionally I’ll buy a new piece and instantly I’ll wonder what I’ve done my whole life without it in my closet. This oversized denim jacket is one of those pieces. I have a shorter denim jacket, that’s perfect for things like dresses, or if I want to tie a flannel around my waist, but this oversized version is something special.

I can already tell I’ll be wearing it all spring long, as I’ve been wearing a variation of this outfit multiple times a week since I got it. (The striped top from this post is perfect with it). If you guys don’t already have an oversized denim jacket in your closet – you won’t regret getting one. I’ll certainly miss the extra layer of winter scarves, jackets, and vests in the spring, but this jacket makes up for it in the best kind of way.

Another new piece you haven’t seen before is the bodysuit I’m wearing underneath the jacket. I didn’t have anything like it in my closet, but it’s the perfect layering piece and I can’t wait to wear it with skirts and shorts once the weather gets warmer. The off the shoulder cut and black color are super flattering.

I hope you all had a fun weekend! We had a dinner & a movie date night which was much needed and so fun! Dinner was at FreeSoul Caffe in Tustin, CA — which if you ever visit SoCal or live nearby, you need to go. It’s 100% vegan and they have an amazing truffle burger, gnocchi, and pizza galore. We then saw “Get Out!” at the theater and I really have no words for the movie. It was really good – but very strange and unexpected! If you’ve seen it let me know what you thought in the comments.
